Flintridge Prep’s instrumental and choral music programs present students with a broad variety of opportunities to learn skills, explore their talents, and perform on and off campus.

Jazz bands
Flintridge proudly features three jazz bands: an ensemble for 8 th graders; the Beginning Jazz Band, geared for 9th graders and other upper school students with little or no jazz experience; and the Jazz Ensemble, for advanced players.

Symphony Orchestra
The Symphony Orchestra is an approximately 40-piece ensemble consisting of both high school and middle school students. String, winds, brass players, and percussionists come together once a week to rehearse the repertoire of the master symphonic composers; there is additional rehearsal in daily string and wind classes. The Symphony Orchestra typically performs three to five times in concerts on and off campus throughout the school year.

Flintridge Singers
The Flintridge Singers is an upper school choral ensemble for male and female vocalists. Repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary. The group often collaborates in performances with the school’s instrumental ensembles.
