This dynamic seminar spends the first week exploring this history—reading literature excerpts, analyzing images, and watching short cuts from films. During the second week the class visits many of the places we have discussed. Some potential field trips include a walking tour of downtown LA, a hike through Griffith Park, and a visit to the Gamble and Lummis Houses.
