FLINTRIDGE PREP SUMMER 2010

Flintridge Preparatory School offers a rigorous, moral, and intimate learning environment, nurturing in its students the skills, knowledge, values, and inspiration essential to a rewarding college experience, a lifelong embrace of education, a devotion to community, and a full and responsible life.    — Flintridge Preparatory School Mission Statement

Founded in 1933, Flintridge Preparatory School is an independent, non-profit, coeducational college-preparatory school. Our summer session offers academics, athletics, and arts for students entering grades six through twelve. We welcome students from other schools as well as Flintridge Prep students.

DATES
Unless otherwise indicated, courses meet from Monday, June 28, through Friday, July 30.  Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2 meet through Thursday, August 6.  Monday, July 5, is a holiday.  For specific dates, see individual course and camp listings in the 2010 summer course offerings.

ENROLLMENT
Unless otherwise noted in the course description, students may enroll in any combination of courses, placing themselves either by grade or by achievement level.

CREDIT
With prior approval from the mathematics department, Flintridge Prep students scoring 90 or higher on a competency test may receive credit for Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Flintridge Prep students entering grades 10 through 12 may earn one full credit for art, only if enrolled in two sections of a five-week fine arts class. Non-Flintridge students should arrange with their schools beforehand to earn credit for summer session courses.
