The Facilities
Chandramohan Library was opened in September 2007. The two-story library complex is situated in the center of campus and includes a computer lab, a classroom for seminars, meeting rooms, space for individual and group study, and a college counseling suite.
The Collection
Flintridge Prep's library houses over 12,000 circulation titles and over 2,000 reference volumes. Subscriptions are maintained for 5 daily newspapers and over 50 periodicals. Monthly magazines are kept for one year; weekly magazines for three months. Hundreds of other newspapers, periodicals, and journals are available to students through subscription online databases.
Computers
Twenty-one networked personal computers, as well as two laptops are available for student use. The 20 laptops in the library's Laptop Classroom are used by classes during the school day. They are also used by the school newspaper staff, Folio staff, and other groups after school. Computer usage is restricted to class work only. After school from 2:30 until 5:00 p.m., students may check their email and browse the Internet. No games are permitted at any time, and all computer users are expected to comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
Circulation Policy
Books are checked out for two weeks. Reference books may be taken out overnight with special permission. No overdue fines will be charged; however, yearbooks will not be distributed to students with unreturned materials. Lost or damaged materials require payment for a replacement copy.
