Dear Community Member,
Our campus re-orientation on Tuesday was filled with useful safety information, technology information, and many joyful moments. Over the last two days, we’ve witnessed the laughter and focus of our faculty and students online and in person. We would like to share our appreciation to our faculty and staff, as well as the facilities and technology teams, who have made our reentry possible. And a special thank you to our students and parents, whose preparation helped make the return to school a success.
As vaccine eligibility and availability increase, we encourage community members to remain mindful that risks remain. Please continue to follow state, local, and school guidelines to minimize the risk of catching and spreading COVID-19.
Weekly PCR Testing: Please Register Today!
If you have not registered students with our PCR testing partner, OmniPathology, please complete this registration today, as weekly testing on campus has already begun and registration must be completed. Visit OmniPathology’s Flintridge Prep site to register. Students who successfully tested during our clinic on Monday are in the system and no further action is required by you. Generally, test results will be returned in 24-48 hours.
Magnus Health Screening: Please Read
We want to reiterate that parents should be completing the Magnus Health screening for their child. Students should not complete the Magnus Health screening for themselves. A question has been added and parents must acknowledge that their families have followed the Community Commitment.
We have received several questions about our attendance policies, including the policies regarding late arrivals and early dismissals. Please review the Attendance Policy document (also accessible in our On-Campus Safety Plan) for a complete explanation of our attendance policy. Though some details of our attendance policy have been modified as a result of the pandemic, the overall policy is consistent with our Student/Parent Handbook.
- All absences (whether in-person or remote), including late arrivals and early departures, must be reported to the Attendance Office at 818.790.3333 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
- If your child’s learning status (in-person or remote) changes, please inform the Attendance Office and have your child inform their teachers.
If you have questions about the attendance policies, contact Lydia Margitza.
As we mentioned in our email on Monday, there is now a Safety section in onCampus that contains resources and videos to help families navigate hybrid learning. Visit the Health and Safety for On-Campus Learning page through the Resources tab on onCampus.
