Alez Hernandez '15 shares an inside look at the presidential election cycle

The electoral college is a process, not a place,” says Alex Hernandez ’15, who joined eighth grade U.S. History and Civics students by Zoom for an insider’s look at the presidential election cycle. Alex took students through a single year, from primaries and caucuses to Super Tuesday, national party conventions, vote counting, the transition, and Inauguration Day, explaining how each step involves many points where citizens can make a direct impact through their participation. Beginning his campaign work with the 2022 midterms, Alex has been an operative in both national and state elections. He most recently worked with Governor Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey.
