"One of our core values is to 'Seek New Perspectives,' and Private School Village helps us live that out by ensuring Black and Brown families feel seen, supported, and empowered across independent schools," said Keenan Kurihara, Director of Enrollment Management, who joined the event with Head of School Vanessa Walker-Oakes, students, and faculty. "The Picnic brings that partnership to life. "The picnic brings that partnership to life. We're so grateful to stand in partnership with PSV in building community and fostering an even deeper sense of belonging at Flintridge Prep."

Members of BRIDGE participated by doing a light-hearted lip-sync and dance performance. "Being a part of PSV means to have a community of representation in a PWI [predominantly white institution] private school," said Yael J., June K., Nick S., Makayla J., and Sidney W. "It can be hard to find people with shared backgrounds and experiences, but PSV brings acknowledgement and support with insightful events."

Stay connected: To help families connect, socialize, and share resources, Flintridge Prep is building a Flintridge Prep/PSV Family Directory.
