In a fall sports season marked by remarkable achievements across all teams, the Wolves football team had its best year ever, finishing undefeated (10-0 overall and 3-0 in league) and winning the CIF Southern Section 8-Person Championship game against Cornerston Christian School on November 26. The 36-21 score doesn't tell the full story of the game—the team came back from a 21-7 deficit in the third quarter to win, demonstrating the grit and commitment of the athletes.
In the runup to the championship, the Wolves played through difficult conditions, beating Avalon in the rain in the quarterfinals and Chadwick in a muddy semifinals game.

The last time Flintridge Prep won the 8-person championship was in 1989, when they beat Pasadena Poly 60-25. The team won the CIF championship for 11-person football in 2003, again beating Poly 17-10. The Wolves were the runners up in the finals last year in a close game against the California School for the Deaf.
