This year, Middle School Math Club explored many fun math problems and competed in Math Madness, the AMC 8, MATHCOUNTS, and the Math Olympiad.  

In the AMC 8, Ridley Mentzer ’30 earned first place in the school and a certificate of distinction, indicating a score in the top 5% of participants.  James Cho ’31 earned second place, and Lilit Eitan ’30 earned third place. 

Lilit Eitan ’30, Connor Kao ’30, Ridley Mentzer ’30, Jeremy Qi ’30, James Pudi ’30, and Donovan Tan ’30 represented Flintridge Prep at the regional MATHCOUNTS competition on February 28. Ridley Mentzer ’30 was the highest scoring competitor from our school, earning 34th place overall. 

In the Math Olympiad, Ridley Mentzer ’30 earned first place in the school.  All are welcome at the Middle School Math Club in the fall for fun math problems and games!
