The baseball team beat Rio Hondo 11-2 in their final league game to capture a share of the league championship. The win also secured their spot in the CIF playoffs. The Wolves will take on Carpinteria High School this Friday at Dunsmore Park at 4 p.m. Hope to see you there!

The softball team punched their ticket to the CIF playoffs with a dominant 9-2 win over league rival Mayfield. The first-round playoff game will be at home this Thursday vs. Lakeside High School at 3:15 p.m. Come out and cheer them on!

The boys tennis team played two playoff matches last week. The Wolves opened CIF with a road win over Valley View High School, 16-2, before drawing the No. 3 seed, Valencia High School, for a home match. The boys fought hard but fell 8-10 to a strong Valencia squad. It was a great season—best of luck to our seniors as they finish out the year!

The boys and girls track & field teams turned in strong performances at the CIF Prelims last Saturday. The boys' distance program was particularly dominant, securing top qualifying spots in the 3200m, 1600m, and 800m. In the field events, a standout freshman qualified in both the long jump and triple jump, and a sophomore advanced in the shot put. On the track, the team showed impressive speed and depth with an 11th-place finish in the boys 400m, a 12th-place finish in the girls 100m, and a 13th-place finish in the girls 300m hurdles. Qualifiers will advance to the CIF Southern Section Finals this Saturday, May 16, at Moorpark High School. 

The boys volleyball team hosted No. 3-seeded Bellflower High School in the CIF quarterfinals last week. The Wolves fought hard but fell 21-25, 23-25, 17-25. They leave the court with their heads held high after a solid season—best of luck to our seniors wrapping up their Flintridge Prep careers!

The boys and girls swimming teams competed at the CIF Championships May 6-9. The boys finished 4th in Division 2, up from 10th a year ago. On the girls’ side, one swimmer claimed the Division 1 B final in the 500 free with a huge personal record, finishing 10th overall. The meet also featured several school records: Henry Yang ’27 in the 100 meter breaststroke and 200 meter IM—Henry won the 100 meter breast with an All-American Automatic time and posted an All-American Consideration time in the 200 meter IM; the 200 meter medley relay team of Justin Seo ‘29, Henry Yang ‘27, Isaac Jung ‘26, and Kai Timbadia ‘26; and the 400 free relay team of Isaac Jung ‘26, Kai Timbadia ‘26, Nate Lee ‘28, and Henry Yang ‘27.
