Whose voices are heard and whose are silenced? This question was the focus of Elana Mann's, artist and activist, recent talk. She discussed these themes through the lens of her own powerful work, Call to Arms, which examines censorship, silencing, and the resilience of the human voice. Mann’s talk provided a powerful model for how our students can use creative expression to analyze issues that affect our society.

But she also offered inspiring advice on overcoming the inherent struggles of the artistic path, sharing, "Keep doing your thing and don’t stop. Find a community that will support you and that you can support."
That commitment to support and resilience is the very community we aim to foster at Flintridge Prep, where students can find their own voice and become critical thinkers who don't just follow but lead.
