Senior Horizons provides wisdom for the Class of 2026

Just before spring break, seniors participated in the rite of passage that is Senior Horizons, where they received practical advice about what to expect in college, a session with Planned Parenthood, and a crash course in financial literacy with parent Bob O’Leary. On the second day, students met in small groups with parents in fields from entrepreneurial business and corporate finance to medicine, law, science/engineering, entertainment, and architecture.

Parent Mark Lim ’97 sent the Class of 2026 off with an inspiring keynote talk. He urged them to find mentors and be persistent, but most of all to stay curious: “You’ve obviously shown that you can learn from a textbook and take a final, but what takes you over the hump is your constant wanting to know more. There are plenty of people who think they know everything, and that’s fine, but I’m talking about life-long success. I’m talking about going to the moon—that’s where I want to see all of you.”
