Chandramohan Library

Featuring two, light-filled floors that have exquisite views of the San Gabriel Mountains, the Chandramohan Library is a warm and inviting gathering place for students, faculty, and staff. The lower library level is open for collaborative work and catching up with friends; the upper level offers a quiet and comfortable study space. Please come to the library to work, meet with friends, read a book, check out materials or just to say hello.  

The Facilities  

After extensive renovations to the original space, the Chandramohan Library opened in September 2007. The library complex is situated in the center of campus and features two computer labs, a meeting room, space for individual and group study, and a college counseling suite. The upper level of the library is reserved for quiet study and research, while the lower level floor is a collaborative and social place.  

The Collection  

Flintridge Prep’s Chandramohan Library fosters the school’s mission of lifelong learning and intellectual passion. With new materials and titles added each week, including fiction and non-fiction books, reference volumes, and over 20 digital databases, the collection supports the Flintridge Prep curriculum and nurtures every student’s love of reading.    

The Community  

The Chandramohan Library exists at the intersection of student life, academic exploration, and creative discovery. It is always bustling with activity and is a space for sharing what’s new and what’s beloved in literature, art, and more. The student-run Library Advisory Council frequently partners with school leaders and teachers to bring authors to campus. Monthly art displays celebrate history and culture. Students and teachers stop by in the afternoons to play the piano on the first level. Projects on current issues, like sustainability, take center stage.

The Chandramohan Library is open to our students, faculty, and staff. 

Lower Level

Monday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Upper Level

Monday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
