Spring Teams
Flintridge Prep’s Athletics Department encourages our student-athletes to compete at the highest level in a positive and respectful environment. We have a strong and proud athletics tradition that dates to the school’s founding in 1933 and is rooted in the essential philosophy that physical education benefits the mind, body, and spirit.
Prep has 23 teams in 14 sports, most with junior varsity and varsity squads. Our teams provide athletes with varying skill levels to play and succeed. Prep teams have won several League championships and regularly make CIF postseason appearances, win CIF championships, and participate in state tournaments and competitions. We proudly encourage our scholar-athletes to continue their athletic careers in college, both in Division 1 and Division 3 sports.
In addition, in keeping with our commitment to encourage student agency, Prep athletes are committed to shared goals pursued in harmony with principles of respect, honor, sportsmanship, and the pure joy of athletic involvement. Prep athletes develop leadership and teamwork skills, self-discipline, and the ability to persevere in the face of challenge and struggle—echoing characteristics of our mascot, the Wolves.
Prep’s Athletic Council on Leadership (ACL) recognizes, celebrates, and cultivates these characteristics , and student athletes take a leadership role at the school, in the local community, and in the world, while promoting sportsmanship and a healthy attitude toward athletic competition.
