The seventh grade staff are so pleased to invite you to the grand opening of our new exhibits at the Los Angeles Museum of Geography! This exciting event will be held on the Flintridge Prep campus on May 3 from 5-7 p.m. There will also be an online version of the museum at our website and the opportunity to take a live Zoom tour for family and friends who are far away or cannot attend in person. No tickets are required, but please complete this Google Form to let us know if you are planning on attending (or Zooming) so that we can be ready for everyone.
Parking is available in the upper lot with check in at the Ahmanson Plaza gate.
Our main exhibit this spring is Wattstax, which tells the story of the largest concert in Los Angeles history, as well as the music and history that inspired it. In the Atrium, you can check out Los Angeles: City of Gold, which showcases podcast reviews of LA restaurants serving cuisine from around the world, inspired by the writing of the late, great food critic Jonathan Gold. Merchandise will be available for purchase at the museum store as well as delicious snacks and beverages at the LAMoG Cafe.
Sincerely,
The LAMoG Staff
