Thanks to winning their first LA County championship last fall, Prep's Mock Trial team earned the right to represent Los Angeles in the Constitutional Rights Foundation's California Mock Trial Finals this weekend for the first time.
The tournament was the culmination of months of preparation by our team—they poured over the year's case, prepared well-reasoned opening and closing arguments, and exercised their knowledge of constitutional law through pretrial motions. Prep's lawyers, witnesses, and bailiffs faced off against champions from the other California counties, and finished among the top 10 teams in the state!
Beyond the overall success of the team, several Prep students were recognized with individual awards—Riya Koh '23 (Outstanding Attorney), Steinunn Liorsdottir '25 (Outstanding Witness), and Jack D'Angelo '25 (Outstanding Expert Witness).
Prep’s team was highlighted in ABC7’s coverage of the event, including interviews with Meena Durairaj '23 and Aidan Grimm '23.
Congratulations Prep Mock Trial!
