Near Eastern Student Association hosts guest speaker event

On April 19, the Near Eastern Student Association invited students and faculty to participate in a speaker event on the ongoing crisis in Artsakh. Gegham Mughnetsyan, Chitjian Researcher Archivist at USC Institute of Armenian Studies, informed theparticipants on the current situation in the region and explained the historical context behind it.

He also spoke about how the conflict will ultimately end and what effect a peace treaty would have on the region. The event ended with a quick Q&A session with the participants where Mr. Mughnetsyan further described the environment needed to create a lasting peace in Artsakh and the region of the South Caucasus as a whole. Theevent was a great learning experience for the students at Flintridge Prep.
