Prep leads the way in CIF Academic Awards
Every year, CIF Southern Section honors academic achievement in athletics with theFORD Academic Awards. From the 1,902 varsity teams which submitted, 27 winners are chosen based on cumulative grade point average—one for each CIF-SS sport.
This year, five Prep teams—baseball, boys volleyball, cross country, football, and softball—were recognized as Academic Team Champions—the most of any school in CIF-SS. The scholarly athlete wolves celebrated their wins at a ceremony Angels Stadium.
