Prep's Science Olympiad team advances

Prep's Science Olympiad teams competed in their regional competition at Rio Hondo College last weekend. Approximately 100 teams composed of 1,500 students competed in the tournament. Prep's two teams—Division B for 7th to 9th grade and Division C for 10th to 12th grade—have been practicing since September for this year's unique challenges covering topics including anatomy and biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, geology, mechanical and structural engineering, and technology. Some events entail taking a test, while others involve doing hands-on labs, or even building and bringing a device to the tournament.

Prep’s Division B team (7th –9th grade) placed 5th overall and is going to state. Congrats Science Olympians!
