Girls cross country ran in the Bell-Jeff Invitational this past weekend. The runners were up for the challenge and pushed themselves to compete at a very high level, resulting in the team finishing third out of the 13 teams at the event! They will not race this weekend, but they will look to prepare for their next meet.

Boys cross country competed in the Palos Verdes Invitational last Friday and several members improved their times from previous races. The scoring system was a little different at this meet, so it was hard to tell the exact team finish, but we were happy with the times. Their next meet will be on Saturday, October 7 at the Clovis Invitational in Fresno.

The football team had a much-needed bye last week to get all the players healthy and ready to push forward with the season. They remain 4-0 and will face Santa Clarita Christian this Saturday, October 7 at 7 p.m. at the College of the Canyons. This will be their final game before league play.

The girls tennis team remains undefeated with their latest win over rival Pasadena Poly! The Wolves played a great, very tough match last Friday on the road. Both teams split several of the games, but the Wolves pulled away in the end, winning the match 10-8. The Wolves will now play at La Cañada on Tuesday, October 3 at 3:30p.m.

Girls volleyball played Chadwick last Thursday for their senior night game. The Wolves came out on fire and won the first game. After dropping the second game, they fought back to win games three and four to win the match! They then played in the Gabrielino Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, where they won their pool by beating Walnut, Bassett, and MACES schools! The Wolves eventually lost in the semifinals but played amazingly well all day. Their next game will be at home this Thursday, October 5 vs EF Academy at 4 p.m.

The boys water polo team played in their second league match last Friday at home vs. La Salle. The Wolves took an early six-goal lead and never looked back, winning the game 21-13. This was a great bounce back after losing to Poly earlier in the week, and it evened their league record to 1-1. Their next game will be on Wednesday, October 4, at home vs Brentwood at 3:30 p.m.
