Both the boys and girls cross country teams had a week off to get ready for the CIF prelims, which will take place on Saturday, November 11 at Mt. San Antonio College. The boys will start their race at 7:45 a.m. and the girls will start theirs at 8:27 a.m. We wish both teams the best of luck!

The football team played in their quarterfinal playoff game last Friday vs. Cate. The game was very tight for the first three quarters with both teams taking the lead throughout. The Wolves fell behind early in the fourth quarter (17-20), and Cate quickly got two scores to extend the lead, 17-33. Our team fought back and scored with two minutes to go and made a two-point conversion to make it 25-33. The Wolves had one last drive to try and tie the game but were unable to score and fell to Cate 25-33. We are incredibly proud of our football team and want to congratulate them on a great season!

The girls tennis team hosted Dos Pueblos in the first round playoff match last Wednesday. At the end of the first round of games, the score was tied 3-3 and the Wolves were playing well. In round two, Dos Pueblos won four of the six sets, taking a 7-5 lead, and putting the pressure on the Wolves. Unfortunately, in round three the Wolves were only able to get a 3-3 split and fell to Dos Pueblos 8-10 in a very tough and hard-fought match. Congratulations to the girls tennis team for an outstanding season and for winning their first-ever league championship!

The boys water polo team hosted Etiwanda last Tuesday for a CIF first round playoff game at La Cañada High School. The Wolves went down early by four goals to end the first quarter and could not fight back in the game. By the end of the third quarter, Etiwanda had taken a six-goal lead and eventually won the game. It was a hard-fought battle by the Wolves against a very strong team!  We congratulate the boys water polo team on a solid season; and with only one senior on the team, we will be ready to use this experience next year!
