Spring Play delights in sold-out Miller Theater

In a beautifully transformed Miller Theater—parasols and other colorful eccentricities dangling from the rafters—Prep’s 7th, 8th, and 9th grade actors delighted sold out crowds at last weekend’s Spring Play, “You Can't Take It with You.” The endearing classic about a quirky family and the importance of enjoying your life while you have it proved to be an excellent vehicle for student expression.

The actors—several of whom were taking the Prep stage for the first time—gleefully embodied their roles as members of the whimsical Vanderhof-Sycamore-Carmichael family and the various people who enter their orbit, bringing an infectious energy to theloosely controlled chaos of the play’s plot. Congratulations to the actors, the crew, and director Austin Roy on an amazing show.
