Weekly Sports Roundup: Boys Tennis, Golf Secure CIF Championships


It's the official end of the spring season and we're proud to announce the following teams and athletes earned top awards and championship titles at CIF and State competitions this past week. Go Wolves!


The Wolves had an amazing 15-3 win at the CIF Finals on Friday, May 13! For the first time in this year’s playoffs, the Wolves won all 12 matches by the end of the 2nd round. Every player competed in at least one match out of the 18 total and contributed to winning this championship!

The Wolves won the CIF Team Championship by 12 strokes at the Jurupa Hills Golf Course in Riverside. The total score was 382 for a team of five, competing against 19 other teams.  

Individual scores for the team were: 

  • Kaiden Hong '25: 69 (the only score in the 60s) 

  • Henry Tolleson '23: 73 

  • Alex Oh '23: 77 

  • Henry Brookbanks '23: 80 

  • Matthew Lavichant '24: 83 

Prep also sent three individuals to the CIF Individual Tournament last Monday at Los Robles Greens in Thousand Oaks, but they did not make the cut to move forward.

Natalie Walklett ’25 finished 10th in the 200 freestyle in the State Final.

Chase Sullivan ’22 took 5th place in the long jump at the CIF Division 4 finals on Saturday, May 14!



Last night, the middle school athletes of the year were announced at the middle school athletics celebration. Congratulations to Will Grable '26 and Mary Sinclair '26.

The middle school sports season wrapped up last Friday with a girls flag football tournament, held at Westridge. The Wolves were undefeated, tying with Mayfield's A team for the championship. Congrats to these flag footballers and congratulations to all middle school athletes for an incredible year.
