Parent and Alumni Summer Sessions

The Parent and Alumni Summer Sessions are back for a seventh year. These lively discussions and learning opportunities are open to alumni, parents and parents of alumni. Discover classes that your kids loved. Finally take a shortened version of that last class you could not fit into your senior schedule.

Great Books

What is the Good Life? Regardless of age, profession or other circumstances, the question applies to us all.  But who are we?  Predominantly a species of the head?  The heart?  Playthings of some pre-determined fate?  Or free people making significant choices?  There will be several new books, including Tolstoy’s The Death of Ivan Ilych, and George Bernard Shaw’s Major Barbara. On five evenings this summer, we will explore these questions.

We’ll also attend performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Titus Andronicus at the Griffith Park Shakespeare Festival (optional).
