The girls cross country squad secured 5th, 15th, 48th and 49th places out of 150 runners at the Clovis Invitational last weekend. The boys’ side finished in 10th, 15th, 30th, 66th, 71st and 82nd places out of 189 runners—bringing the team total to 168 points for 4th place out of 27 teams.
Football followed up a win against Thacher with a 62-52 loss against Cate last week. The team heads into its first League match, against Windward, in an away game scheduled for this Saturday, October 13.
Moving from the field to the pool, boys water polo came back from last week’s loss against Brentwood with a 9-8 victory over Chadwick, bringing their League record to 3-1 and overall record to 8-6. They take on La Salle this afternoon in Prep’s home pool.
With a 5-7 League record and 12-8 overall record, the girls volleyball squad finished out League play with a 3-2 loss to Poly and a 3-0 win over Chadwick. The team looks towards next week’s CIF wildcard round with hopes for playoff success.
Girls tennis hit 3-8 overall and 0-5 in League with a 2-16 loss to Mayfield yesterday. Despite their challenges in team scoring, Maya Khurana ’20 secured a dominant singles win with a 6-0 score, while Jackie Hsu ’21 and Audrey Ouh ’21 pulled off a 7-5 victory in doubles.
