Alumni Newsletter for Winter 2020
Lots of Love at the 2019 Winter Alumni Day
Dozens of alumni ventured out into the wintry rain to see their friends, classmates, coaches and teachers at December’s Winter Alumni Day. Staying warm by the proverbial fire in the Atrium—which many alums hadn’t seen since it had been enclosed—the Classes of 2014 and 2009 celebrated their five- and 10-year reunions.
Assistant Librarian Reggie Ursettie was the belle of the ball, with her family, friends, current and former colleagues and alumni toasting to her upcoming retirement after 24 years at Prep.
Celebrating Peter Bachmann in Los Angeles, San Francisco and More
Starting in January, Peter Bachmann embarked on trips across California and the country to greet alumni and parents of alumni at regional events. Peter kicked off his tour in Culver City and Los Angeles. Alumni and parents stopped by the California Club in January, whether they chatted with Peter and shared their favorite Prep memories.
After visiting San Francisco and Palo Alto in January, Peter’s next stops are New York, Washington, DC, San Diego and Orange County in February and March. Check out the calendar for dates and locations. Don’t forget to RSVP to email@example.com.
Bachmann Collaboration Building Construction Update
The Bachmann Collaboration Building has been swiftly taking shape in the north side of campus. Now more than halfway complete, all three floors have been constructed and the roof is being installed. The building will open this fall and will host programs in STEAM, Global Studies and Leadership.
We still have until June 30, 2020 to raise the remaining funds to support the final construction phase. The Trustee Challenge will match a total of $1.5 million in gifts to the building. Make a gift to the Annual Fund and any additional gift to the building will be matched.
We would like to thank all the alumni who have already stepped up to participate in the Challenge. Your contributions have a real impact and they send a message of love and support for Peter, who has dedicated his career to making Prep an amazing community. If you haven’t made a gift yet, visit our website to find out more.
