Before You Begin

It is very important that you submit the enrollment contract and enrollment fee for each returning student in your family by Friday, March 2, 2018, as we need to know how many spaces are available for new applicants to Flintridge Prep. Flintridge Prep reserves the right to place a returning student on the admissions waiting list if we do not receive the enrollment contract by our March 2 due date.

Tuition Payment Plan

By default, the payment option you selected last year is set to automatically continue. If you would like to change your schedule, please contact Irmgard Dan. The three payment plans that FACTS Tuition Management offers are listed below. 

  • One payment of 100%, due August 1, 2018
  • Two payments, 60% and 40%, due August 1, 2018 and January 1, 2019
  • Ten payments, due monthly beginning in May 1, 2018 and ending February 1, 2019. FACTS Tuition Management charges a one-time convenience fee of $43 per family for this option. 

Enrollment Fee

On February 15, FACTS Tuition Management will send an email invoice to you for the $1,500 non-refundable enrollment fee. This fee may be paid using your choice of the FACTS invoice or FACTS ACH. If you currently have an automatic FACTS ACH, the enrollment fee will be charged automatically on March 2 unless you request another payment mode. If you prefer, you may mail the enrollment fee directly to Flintridge Prep. The fee is due no later than Friday, March 2. 

Optional Tuition Insurance

The Dewar Tuition Refund Plan is optional and provides tuition insurance coverage in the event of absence, dismissal or withdrawal of your child before the end of the school year. Coverage cost is 1.8% of tuition. For more information on this completely optional plan, click here

Financial Aid

If your child(ren) currently receive(s) financial aid and you have submitted an application for next year, please be assured that, as appropriate, it is our practice to continue support year to year. Financial aid decisions will be emailed on Friday, March 9

Sibling Applicants

If you have children who are currently applying to Flintridge Prep, you will receive notification of their admissions status on Friday, March 9. Newly admitted students will be asked to complete a similar enrollment contract with a different deadline. 

Updating Information

Please review all contact information for each child and notify our registrar, Brenda Diaz, at registrar@flintridgeprep.org with updates. 

Confirmation Email

You will receive a confirmation email after completing the contract. You will receive a separate confirmation email for each child.

Enrollment & Re-Enrollment FAQ

I cannot log in to the Parents Portal.

Enrollment contracts were emailed on Friday, February 10. Digitally signed contracts must be completed by Wednesday, March 1.

Click "Forgot your Login? First time logging in?" and follow the on-screen instructions to have a password reset (and/or username) sent to the email address we have on file for you.

What are the important dates I need to know of if I’m re-enrolling my student?

Re-enrollment contracts were emailed on Thursday, February 15. Digitally signed contracts must be completed by Friday, March 2.

On February 15, FACTS Tuition Management will send an email invoice to you for the $1,500 non-refundable enrollment fee. This fee may be paid using your choice of the FACTS invoice or FACTS ACH. If you prefer, you may mail a check to Flintridge Preparatory School. New applicants and re-enrolling families who have applied for financial aid will receive their notification on March 9.

What are the important dates I need to know if I’m enrolling a new student?

If you have children who are currently applying to Flintridge Prep, you will receive notification of their admissions status on Friday, March 9. You will be asked to complete a similar enrollment contract process at that time.

The deadline to complete enrollment contracts for newly admitted students is Monday, March 19.

What do I need to know before I complete the re-enrollment form?

Please complete an enrollment form for each child in your family individually. Only one parent or legal guardian needs to complete and electronically sign the online enrollment contract for each child. The deadline for returning students is March 2.

I have children re-enrolling and children applying for next year. How does the enrollment process work?

If you have a returning student, as well as a newly admitted student, your family will participate in two enrollment periods.

The enrollment period for newly admitted students, including siblings, is from March 9-19. Newly admitted families will receive an email on Friday, March 9, with enrollment instructions.

What are the tuition plan options? What are my payment options?

If your family is re-enrolling, the payment option you selected last year is set to automatically continue. If you would like to change your payment schedule, please contact Irmgard Dan. All tuition payment plans will be administered by FACTS Tuition Management. The available options are:

  • One payment of 100%, due August 1, 2018
  • Two payments, 60% and 40%, due August 1, 2018 and January 1, 2019
  • Ten payments, due monthly beginning in May 1, 2018 and ending February 1, 2019

Note: If you elect to participate in the 10-month tuition plan, your first tuition payment is due in May 2018. FACTS Tuition Management charges a one-time convenience fee of $43 per family for this option.

FACTS provides email due date reminders, online payment tracking and mobile payment options. You can choose one of two payments modes:

  • Have tuition automatically withdrawn from either your checking or savings account.
  • Receive an invoice and mail a check to either FACTS or to Flintridge Prep.

What is the enrollment fee, and what does it pay for?

The enrollment fee is $1,500 per student. It is non-refundable. You may pay the fee through FACTS or send a check to Flintridge Preparatory School.

The enrollment fee covers the 7th, 8th, 9th and 12th grade class trips, the 7th and 8th grade Disneyland trips, 8th Grade Promotion for students and two family members, senior Grad Night and membership in the Parents Association and Fathers Club, both of which sponsor myriad student and Prep community events. In addition, the enrollment fee covers costs for textbooks and instructional/lab/studio supplies.

Expenses that occur on a student-by-student basis, such as AP testing, sports spirit packs, team training trips and Latin Convention will be charged separately. The sophomore and junior retreats, Baccalaureate and Commencement are hosted by the school.

Does the school offer financial aid for the enrollment fee?

The school does not provide financial aid for the enrollment fee. However, if your student receives financial aid, the 2018-2019 tuition financial aid package will partially accommodate the fee.

Does my family have to purchase tuition insurance?

Note: If you elect to purchase tuition insurance, please indicate your desire on the enrollment contract.

How do I pay my Parents Association dues or class trip fees for my child?

In 2016, Flintridge Prep stopped collecting Parents Association dues and class trip fees. These items are included in your family’s enrollment fee.

We have enrolled for next year but decided at the last minute that we will not be attending Flintridge Prep. Who do I contact?

The contact information in the enrollment form is incorrect; we’ve moved; my email address has changed. How do I fix it?

You can update your contact information through your online profile. Or, if you prefer, email contact information changes to registrar@flintridgeprep.org.

My family doesn’t plan to return to Flintridge Prep next year.
