In Beat Making 101, students will learn the basics of electronic music production and songwriting. Taking inspiration from hip hop and EDM genres, students will study and incorporate their stylistic conventions and techniques into their own unique compositions. Dive into the world of content creation and explore what it takes to have a viral YouTube channel! We will walk through the process of creating a successful video, from crafting engaging content to analyzing the key metrics that determine its success, such as Click-Through Rate (CTR) and audience retention. Students will also learn the importance of designing an eye-catching thumbnail and how it impacts video performance. We’ll also discuss what makes a video captivating and inspiring, while still maintaining authenticity and integrity. This class offers a mix of hands-on learning and theory, perfect for those interested in understanding the art and science behind viral content.

In this course, we will discuss visual literacy, art and design principles, color theory, and historical and contemporary design trends. In a series of small projects, students will manipulate digital images in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, creating monograms and logos, posters and dust jackets, and a digitally produced painting. Working with traditional and digital media, students will leave this class with an intermediate knowledge of vector drawing, masking, typography, color, composition, and CMYK printing. Beginner designers are welcome—no previous experience is necessary.

More than just playing, they’ll sharpen problem-solving abilities, enjoy time with classmates, and gain the confidence to teach these games to friends and family. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or trying something new, this class is all about learning, laughing, and mastering the art of the game!

This course teaches and reinforces analytical and creative writing skills, with an emphasis on composition. Analytical writing lessons will emphasize clear thesis development and how to utilize textual evidence. Creative writing work is designed to increase fluidity, broaden vocabulary, and develop a personal voice. Students study several literary works, both for enjoyment and to refine critical thinking. Come have fun and grow as a writer!

With a focus on blending, layering, and self-expression, students will develop their painting skills in a fun, supportive, and stress-free environment.

This course will dive into the art of poetry through the work of celebrated authors and the lyrics of Taylor Swift, one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the 21st century. Students will be encouraged to explore broader themes of love, identity, and personal growth through active listening, reading, and discussion culminating in reflective writing and original pieces of poetry.

Students will compare and contrast the folktales, identifying similarities and differences across cultures. Students will have the opportunity to create their own folktale, focusing on their own cultural identity, and discuss their work with peers.
